Whereas side effects of non-surgical methods are less likely to occur.

Non-Surgical methods of camouflage:

Amongst Latest methods of hair restoration the conventional surgical techniques are concerned, they just try to cover the underlying cause and within 10 to 15 years of surgical treatment you will come back with thinning of hair around the hairline or bald patches on scalp. It may involve more than one visit and application of local anesthesia as many times you visit for surgery. When we investigate the non-surgical methods, they are non-invasive, and they get into the problem and treat it to resolve the issue.

Minoxidil:

It is an FDA approved medication for hair loss treatment mainly used for the treatment of enlarged prostate. DHT hormone (Dihydrotestosterone) is the major cause of baldness in men which initially reduces the production of follicles gradually enhancing to complete stoppage of hair growth. It acts as vasodilator and helps in hair miniaturization as the DHT(Dihydrotestosterone) linked with male type of baldness or alopecia gets controlled as soon as the vasodilating drug attaches to follicles. It nourishes them with good blood flow and oxygen. Resultantly enabling them to grow and the person to look presentable.

Finasteride:

It is also an FDA approved drug and was approved in 1992 for the hair loss treatment. It targets the release of DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which is the one of the main causes of baldness in men. In start it reduces the development of follicles gradually causing the complete loss of follicles growth. Thus, Finasteride acts directly upon the release of DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) and stops its release causing the follicles to grow and nourish leading to a head full of hair, it may also lead to loss of libido.

Low level laser therapy (LLLT):

This latest method of hair restoration is found to be quite useful in both genders. It acts by delaying the time period of anagenic phase or by delaying the conversion of telogen phase into the anagen phase. It also acts by enhancing the stimulation of follicles of anagenic phase. It also acts upon the pretimed occurrence of catagenic phase. Some scientists predict it works by acting upon the opening of K+ channels while some believe that it controls the working of mitochondria. Actual mode of action is still unpredictable.

Combs and helmets:

Low level laser therapy (LLLT) for hair fall control is performed on large scale by trichologist or aesthetic specialist while Low level laser therapy (LLLT) can be performed with laser combs and helmets at home. Laser combs therapy for men was approved by FDA in 2007 while for women in 2011.Laser helmets have been approved by FDA too.

Micro needling:

This latest method of hair restoration is less time taking and has less side effects but should be performed by some specialist. Micro incisions are made with needles which lead to swelling followed by the proliferation of new cells resulting in remodeling of new follicles. This will cause the new healthy  growth.

Healthy diet:

Under the guidance and supervision of a specialist for proper and healthy growth of follicles leading to healthy hair one must involve the use of lean meat, green leafy vegetables, milk, fruits, nuts and whole grain in his daily routine. The best way of hair regrowth is the use of a healthy diet. If this really does not work in any case, then apart from the current rapidly advised methods of transplantation there are some other non-surgical modes which are greatly helpful up to some extent. If someone is not satisfied with these methods, he has complete right to go for the surgical modes.
